These two table runners were made from a pattern created by Deb Canham. It is a fun pattern to use and you can be so creative with the many different types of fabrics. This pattern is also from Deb Canham. I took a serger class from her October 2023. The table runner has cording as well as using the flat lock and chain stitch.

I made these stockings for our children from a kit. They were used for several years until I retired them for a new set of Christmas stockings that included one for Doug and I. These Christmas stockings hold special memories for me as I remember stitching each of the beads and pieces onto the felt to create a beautiful picture. The challenge for me was to create their name out of the string and then attach it to the felt while maintaining the shape of the letters. The Christmas stockings below were purchased from a lady who made them. I was working at a hospital in Price for the rehabilitation department in 1993 when she walked in selling Christmas stockings. I thought they were adorable and so I purchased six of them. Doug and I are, of course, Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. Amber's is the snowman, Mike the soldier, Jill the teddy bear and Shanna is the angel. We have enjoyed these every year. I put up all six of them even though ...

I bought this material several years ago and decided to make it into a quilt. I thought the fabric was just too cute to cut it up, so I kept it in the one piece. Doug usually does the quilting, but I decided to try it on my own this time. So I did most of the quilt design on the software to make it fit the size of the quilt. The pattern is just a simple stippling pattern. And I used the long arm quilter for the majority of the sewing. Fall 2022.
