In July, 2011, I gave this quilt to Jill for her birthday.  I enjoyed making the other quilt so much that I made this one for Jill.  Doug quilted it on our quilting machine.

This quilt was really fun to sew.  I took a class at a local quilt shop.  The designs are from the same bolt of material.  You cut through four layers of the same material with the same design on all four layers.  Then you put the four squares together to see what type of design you will get.  It was sort of like a kaleidoscope in which you set different designs by putting the same four corners together.  Sewed in 2011.

I made this quilt in the Fall of 2011 for Shanna's daughter, Allison.  By this time we had purchased a quilting machine and frame.  Doug quilted it.  We gave it to Allison for Christmas.

This quilt was made for a raffle held in February, 2010 for Mutual Ground in Aurora, Illinois. I was told that a woman wanted this quilt so badly, that she stood near the table to be sure she could make sure she was the highest bidder.  I was never told what it sold for.

This quilt was a birthday gift for my life-long friend, Debbie.  I sewed the top.  The quilt is done by machine quilting.

In 2008, I made this quilt for a dear friend, Andrea Merrill.  Her husband was from Kansas and so the backing of the quilt is daisies to remind her of Kansas. The top section of the quilt is a cross stitch pattern with the names of the months on the border and flowers, leaves and insects are the decoration.  The quilting is done on my sewing machine and is a diamond pattern.

This quilt came about because I wanted to use up all the scraps of material that I had.  It grew to be queen size.  My sister-in-law, Kristine Ralphs, does beautiful hand quilting.  I asked her to quilt this for me.  I made the pillow shams a couple of years later.  The quilting on the pillow shams is done by the sewing machine.  January, 2012.
